In these terms, “we” and “us” mean the company.
Jo Davison is a chiropractor registered with the General Chiropractic Council, the UK’s regulator for chiropractors, registration number 01580. The Council’s Code of Professional Practice, the standards every UK chiropractor must meet, is published at gcc-uk.org. Where this website calls Jo “Dr”, it is a courtesy title: Jo is a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC), not a medical doctor.
What this website is, and what it isn’t
This website is about Jo’s work with chiropractors: her mentoring, her books, her speaking and her writing.
It is general information, not advice about you. Nothing on the site is advice about your practice, your business, your finances, your tax, the law or your health, because we don’t know your circumstances. Decisions you make are your own, and you should take professional advice where you need it.
Nothing on this site is a promise of results. Where the site describes what a pathway or programme aims to help with, that is its aim, not a guarantee. Every practice and every chiropractor is different, and what anyone achieves depends on them and their circumstances.
Nothing on this site is medical advice. Jo is a chiropractor, but this website is not about treatment. Where Jo writes about her own experience, for example of burnout or perimenopause, that is her story, not advice about your health. If you have a health concern, please speak to a doctor or another qualified healthcare professional.
Buying books, programmes and calls
This website doesn’t sell anything and doesn’t take payments.
- Books. The buttons take you to Amazon. You buy from Amazon or its sellers, on Amazon’s terms.
- Programmes. Where a programme can be bought, its button takes you to that programme’s own checkout page, and the terms shown there, including any cancellation and refund terms, are the ones that apply. Where a programme has no checkout, its button takes you to our contact page, where you can ask about it.
- Calls. “Book a call” buttons take you to bluecowpractice.com, where calls are booked on that website’s own terms.
- Speaking and mentoring. If Jo speaks at your event, or you go on to work with Jo or Blue Cow Practice, that is agreed separately with you. These terms don’t cover it.
Sending us a message or an enquiry doesn’t commit you, or us, to anything.
Using this site
You may read the site, print pages from it and share links to it, for your own use or your organisation’s.
You must not:
- use the site in a way that breaks the law, or for anything fraudulent or harmful,
- try to get unauthorised access to the site, its server or any system connected to it,
- introduce a virus or anything else designed to cause damage, or attack the site, for example by trying to overload it,
- use automated tools to copy or harvest the site’s content at scale,
- use the forms to send spam, abuse or anything unlawful, or
- enter someone else’s details in a form without their permission.
We may block anyone who does any of these things from using the site or contacting us through it.
Who owns what is on this site
The words, photographs, design and layout of this site belong to us or are used with permission. You may quote a short passage if you say where it came from and link to the page. You may not republish substantial parts of the site, use them commercially, or present them as your own.
The titles, covers and text of Jo’s books belong to their authors and publisher.
Blue Cow Practice, The Blue Cow Way and the 5VT framework are the names of our business and our methods. Please don’t use them in a way that suggests a connection with us that doesn’t exist.
The names and logos of publications, organisations and events belong to their owners. Where this site names a publication that featured or quoted Jo, or an organisation or event she is connected with, for example as a member, a board member or a speaker, that doesn’t mean the publication, organisation or event endorses us.
If you would like to use something from this site, ask us. The answer is often yes.
Accuracy and availability
We take care over what we publish and we check the facts we state. Even so, the site is general information written at a point in time, and things change.
We don’t promise that the site is complete, free of errors or up to date at the moment you read it, and we don’t promise that it will always be available or uninterrupted.
Links to other websites
This site links to other websites we think you will find useful, such as Amazon, bluecowpractice.com, Steve Davison’s website, Women Chiropractors, and the publications that have featured Jo. We choose them with care, but we don’t run them, we can’t control what they publish, and they have their own terms and their own privacy and cookie notices, which apply once you are there.
You may link to this site from your own, as long as you do it fairly and legally and don’t suggest a connection or endorsement that doesn’t exist.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude.
Subject to that, because this site is free general information and not a service you are paying for:
- we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, or from relying on anything published on it, and
- if you use the site for business purposes, we are not liable for business losses such as loss of profit, income, revenue, business or opportunity.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.
Your privacy
How we handle personal information is explained in our privacy notice. What the site does and doesn’t store in your browser is explained in our cookie notice.
If part of these terms doesn’t hold
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce something straight away, we can still enforce it later.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you are a consumer living outside the UK, these terms don’t take away any protection you have under the law of the country where you live that cannot be excluded.
